Why does my engine seem to die on me then resume running after a short time?I have put it in a garage but he has had it for 12days now and can`t find what is wrong with it.

Take it somewhere else where they know how to read the fault codes . There are accredited specialists shops that specialise in you vehicle so find one and get the problem fixed within hours not days.
