WHEN DVD DISC INSERTED INTO PLAYER (RECORD MODE)ERROR CODE DISPLAYED ON SCREEN AFTER 30 SECONDS, CODE 03-51 (8 SPEED DISC) USED.WOULD APPRECIATE HELP THANKING YOU
Try using another disc in the recording device. if it works then the device is proper.if it does not work then the device is faulty.these errors occurs due to following reasons. 1)some where loose connection(that can be repaired) 2)the reading lens is weak (lens can be cleaned but not be repaired .it can be replaced.)but replacing would be very much costly.buying the new device is very much advisable. still for the last try take it to the repair shop.hope that helps...
The player detected that the recordable disc inserted is for 8x speed. check the disc speed requirement of the player before purchasing another blank cd.
It only means that the dvd cannot record on the Disc , possible reasons are the disc is not good that why the dvd canot record to it, or the dvd itself is not working fine to the recording part, Try using a different Disc to record with and see if it will record fine, beucase if it record fine on another disc it only mean onething the first dics is not good..

Turn off first your about 10 secs then turn it on. be sure to check what disc youve inserted and see if its compatible with it.

Hi,
Have you tried a blank DVD with lower speed say 4X? Or for that matter, some other brand of blank DVDs?
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
Other things you can try are:
- clean the optics/lens, initially with a CD ROM disc cleaner, otherwise, have to open it up;
- Reset the unit by unplugging from the mains for an extended period in the hope that is is a systems glitch;
- try playing first a known good DVD disc before recording.
Cheers.
