If there is no Video , then check the cable connected to TV. If you are using RCA cables, the ones with red , white and yellow connectors, ensure that the yellow cable (the video) is connecting from an output on VCR into an Input on TV terminal board.
As said, test also using a different kind of cable connection.
Also use the input/source button on TV to ensure you have selected the right input.
The only setting that can cause no picture from the combo unit under all conditions is the PAL NTSC video setting. If the unit was working before that won't be the problem.
If possible it would also be good to test the unit with a different TV.
Have a look at that setting , if that is not the problem , then you have likely a faulty terminal board circuit in the Toshiba .
Double check that this is no connection problem, and ensure that TV source is being selected properly (if there is audio it should be the correct source).
If the problem is none of the above, test on a different TV before proceeding to repair.
