Vector VEC1029POB PowerCenter Batts Dead?
I've had a rechargeable PowerCenter in storage for some time. I tried to charge it up recently (with 110VAC) but when I unplug it from the wall, nothing works (acts like internal batts aren't holding a charge--only thing that works is lo-power on-board stuff like radio backlight). If I have it plugged in to wall (like it's charging on AC) everything works so I suspect the batts are no good. When it's charging I only get 3 LEDs for charging status--it never lights up the last (green) LED (indicating full charge). It's a great unit otherwise and I'd hate to have to scrap it without trying to replace the internal batts. Anybody know anything about these units? Are the batts replaceable? Thanx...
