Velodyne dd-18 subwoofer not turning on
I have a velodyne dd-18 sub-woofer which has worked fine. But I recently tried listening to music and noticed their was no bass coming from the sub. I turned up the volumn on the stereo thinking the auto turn needed more input. That did not work. The pilot light in front is not lit, I tried activating the sub using the remote power button. No results. The switch is turned on in the back. It is plugged in, the outlet is working.

Before we proceed, please reset the system from your remote and check it makes any changes or not. If it doesn't, check your cable connections (i would recommend you to use another cable, might be the cable is the culprit).
Verify that the "Bass" tunning key is turned up. Make sure that there's no mistakes with the color coding. Try changing the sound settings from the sound control using your remote control and turn up the Bass to the maximum level.
Please make sure that stereo is selected on the control panel.
If all of the above mentioned measures don't fix your problem, there must be internal faulty like capacitors or resistors and similar might have been gone bad. Your last resort is the service center.

Hi,the transistor that controls the sub-woofer inside the speaker is bad and needs to be replaced for the sub-woofer to start working again.
There is a unit inside the speaker called a crossover unit. There are IC on it and transistors that controls the high frequency. Get a meter and read the transistor (it is usually colorful), and check which is bad and replaced .

Hello, you didn't address the question well enough for me to give the answer your question.
What to do simply use the manual an do the settings properly, the bass will surely come out. i don't think is inside fault.It is a manual fault.
If you don't have the manual i can help you with that. The solution is in the manual..Is like your not setting it properly.
