Its a SPL-1000. Purchased as a reconditioned unit from a reliable electronics store approx. 10 yrs ago. The first problem was that I would get a constant thumping sound even when the receiver was turned off. I took it to back to the store. They put it on a moniter and said it was fine, must be the receiver which was also giving me problems. When I turn it on now (not connected to the receiver) I get a constant buzzing sound.
