Verizon (Frontier, now) a message service that picks up calls when the phone is in use, but don't think that could be it because we received messages on our old answering machine, which has been replaced by the Dect 6.0. Please help. Thanks
Here is a link to download the manual in pdf format. The answer machine can be set to answer in 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 rings. If your service provider(Frontier) forwards an unanswered call to the message service after 4 rings and your answer machine is set to answer after 6 rings, calls will never be answered by the answer machine. Frontier could be forwarding only busy calls to the message service but often busycalls and no answer calls are forwarded. You imply there has been a change in your service provider, the new company Frontier may not have kept your phone features the same, which may explain the difference. If you don't want your unanswered calls forwarded to the message service, call Frontier to change. http://www.home-electronics.net/USER-GUIDES/28871_DOM_EN_CL_IB.pdf
