When I turn on the phone, the screen reads "Registering Applications" and will not allow you to do anything else. Can you help?

Turn it off again..
Hold End, then when the red lines start flying around take your finger off the End button and hold it again..
This is just a temporary solution but it worked for me.
The end button tricked worked for me but would still want the upgrade but im using the phone on another carrier will they still upgrade it?
Take your phone to verizon store with a tech inside and tell them you need to have the software upgrade. They will do it for free.
