I hope you are aware of how the individual pixels are controlled via an X-Y matrix. These are contained in ICs that are normally not replaceable individually by hand since they are installed by robotic machinery that is far more competent than the human hand. The LCD itself is probably without problems but I suspect the drivers (which could be proprietary) may not be separable from the screen assembly as the panel may often be supplied by one company and the rest by the manufacturer whose name appears on the set.
