Sounds like you have some pitted brake rotors. You or a brake shop can check the minimum thickness requirement with a micrometer to see if it can still be turned (having the surface of rotor smoothed out) that will stop the vibration that occurs from stopping at higher speeds. It would also be a good time to inspect pads and other brake components as well.
