Video Problem I have the next model up from the Technics SA-AX730, the SA-AX930 and for months now, when watching a movie, the video will intermittently switch to a blank, grey screen, and sometimes the video "rolls." The audio remains, but no video. If I hit the side of the receiver, the video will reappear. This usually happens when I watch DVDs, and I cannot say if it does with VHS, since it has been a while since I have watched one. All the cables are connected firmly. Is this an internal problem? Is it fixable?
You most likely have either bad connections from the jacks to the main PC board or the video switching chip has an internal problem. Try resoldering all of the input jacks first and update this with your results. Dan
