The feature will be called Auto Adjust on your osd menu, I'm not quite sure where exactly it will be but by clicking on this within the menu will fit it perfectly to your screen. It possibly will even be it's own button on the screen. Since I am not totally familiar with this exact model, I can't be more specific but if you are having trouble, please let me know the options and I can tell you where to look since all monitors are basically the same.
Since I can't think of why it shouldn't work, I would call this number and see if they have faced this problem before (800) 688-6688

I've never had a problem with any monitor going out, must just be a rotten egg.
