Vista 32 Lockup
Whenever I try to print, transfer jpgs or any files from my network or SD card, or play graphics intensive games, my computer locks up (can't do ctrl-alt-del or any mouse movement). I disable my Radeon 3850 graphics driver through Control Panel/Device Manager and everything works fine -- with the exception of lower graphics.
ATI tech support is of no benefit when trying to resolve this problem. I have had a complete system rebuild from Cyberpower PC along with changing my video cards from 2 radeon 2600s to 1 radeon 3850 and still have the problem. I have reinstalled Vista, updated all drivers (including BIOS and ATI Chipset), updated DX10, increased power supply from 500w to 800w, and replaced the memory sticks - no effect.
I have lived with this problem for a year now. I have an MSI K9A platinum motherboard with AMD6000+ Athlon.
