I have a 42" Vizio E420i-AO that stopped working about a year ago. If I remember correctly, it happened over the space of a few days. The picture started going black, but the sound was still on. Turning it off and on would restore the picture. It got worse and worse and eventually the picture would not come on at all. I decided recently to try to fix it. After watching the videos, I took the back off and started looking around. The unit powers up and I do get faint images on the screen using the flashlight test. I have no sound, but I don't have anything hooked up to the tv. Nothing was obviously bad on the boards, so I took some voltage readings on the led 1+ and led 2+ pins. With the power on and the connector plugged in, I get 70.2 and 70.1 vdc. With the power on and the connector unplugged, I get 70.0 and 69.9 vdc. What is my next step?
