We are looking at purchasing a used top of the line Electrolux double oven. The problem is the bottom of upper oven is warped up from what looks like overheating. The surface just in that spot looks like it melted. We will have the seller hook it up to test all the functions but supposedly it works very well otherwise. I feel like we need to understand what caused the problem because there is not reason to think it will not happen again. I have heard theories of the owner putting tin foil in the bottom of the oven to catch drips and causing the element under the floor of the oven to overheat. Also heard it could have to do with the self cleaning feature. Any advice? We would be able to purchase this $3500 oven for under $1000 installed. Thanks!
