Washer will not fill with water. Machine goes on but groans and no water fills. I have unplugged it for 60 seconds but still no water

Water inlet valve problems are not uncommon with these machines.You probably have to replace the cold valve (Most common) The groaning is probably the bowl turning slowly to allow the water to dampen the clothes evenly as it fills....DO NOT try to exchange the hot and cold valves, as they are different!!!! Not a big job for a tech....Good luck....Nomess
