Drain pump filter blocked? This is the case in so many instances!
POWER OFF AND HAVE SOMETHING TO COLLECT THE WATER!!!
I am presuming that this is a front loader (which is what we have always purchased). Panel front, bottom to be removed. Sometimes there are (2) plastic 'screws' which turn only 45 degrees to loosen or the panel is simply 'clicked' off and on. There will be a circular turnable item behind which the filter sits. Remove this item BUT- beware of the water because often the filter is (temporarily) attached to the item and water will pour out. Obviously remove anything in the filter (worth doing this regularly anyway!) and at the same time the pump itself will be visible. Just make sure it will rotate and nothing has managed to get through the filter ( a sewing needle for instance) and jam it. If the water still does not drain the pump could be malfunctioning- new pump.
