Fault 49 indicates Out of Balance fault- usually faulty microswitch. To access- disconnect from power, remove two screws at top rear to remove control panel. You will see large brown control board. Disconnect all wiring connections, taking note where they came from (they are keyed to only fit in correct slots, but is best to note positions anyway). Remove brown control board (held in by either one screw, or clip on right hand side) Underneath control board you will see a small microswitch with two wires on it- this is the Out of balance microswitch. Often the switch will be corroded, or the little button is stuck in. Replace microswitch- they are available from any good appliance parts shop, and you'll be back in business!! If in any doubt as to doing this yourself, call in the experts, as it is an easy repair for a tech, and you don't want to make an easy repair turn into something more expensive!!
