Waste Cartridge Full
Hello,
We recently purchased a Xerox Phaser 7760 and after only one day of printing it has stopped and displayed "Replace Waste Cartridge." I find it hard to believe it needs to be replaced already but can't seem to get around the problem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The optical sensor looks at a small compartment, that has clear walls; when the waste toner gradually fills the container, it eventually reaches the level above a "wall" between the main container and this small compartment, spills inside and makes not transparent anymore. Some toner might have gotten there and the sensor gives a false full signal. You can get rid of it by cleaning this compartment with compressed air.
Obviously, the sensor might be plain broken as well, but the above is perfectly true - it saves the day when the printer stops and we don't have a new waste container... I pour out the toner and clean the inside thoroughly with compressed air, especially that small look-through compartment.
Al parecer tienes otro problema, ya que yo tengo una de las mismas impresoras y nunca e cambiado este cartucho, solo lo vacío y lo vuelvo a colocar sin ningún tipo de inconveniente.
You have a warranty. Call and have it fixed asap. Sounds like the sensor popped out.
7760 is an onsite warranty.
