Water damage due to heavy rain the phone got soaked. Idried it out as best I could but the sound upon start up, the welcome tone, does not sound right. The phone keeps turning off and reseting time and date too

The phone is done. The speaker cannot handle water damage.
You can try leaving the phone site in plain, uncooked rice for a day or so, but most likely this phone will never be used again.
