When the ignition switch is ON and the fuel pump is running, the fuel pressure indicated by the fuel pressure gauge should read 379-427 kPa (55-62 psi) . The spring pressure inside the fuel pressure regulator controls the fuel pressure.
A fuel system that drops more than 34 kPa (5 psi) in 10 minutes has a leak
Thanks, I ran into this while working on a "fuel" problem and I was told to check a schraeder valve on the side of the throttle body to see if the fuel system is pressurized. I found a valve and tried it but got nothing, and it looks like its actually attached to a flimsy looking plastic line which just doesn't look sturdy enough to hold 55-62 psi. Of course I used to have a set of air shocks on my car (back in the day) and that plastic line looked pretty flimsy too! Thanks, I ran into this while working on a "fuel" problem and I was told to check a schraeder valve on the side of the throttle body to see if the fuel system is pressurized.
