We are getting a int..IP message on the top left corner of the phone and when you hit "New Call" you get service unavailable. This same phone was working earlier this morning and we moved the phone to a new cube and put another phone in that same spot. The new phone works from that spot. The phone that stopped working is also not working at other spots that do have working internet outlets. Please advise
Computers & Internet - Polycom - IP - SoundPoint IP 501 IP Phone
I would check the settings make sure it is setup for your region properly, sounds like it's "int" message relates to international. Try adding a "1" before the number you dial for United States calls.
"The SoundPoint® IP 501 telephone starts up as soon as power is applied. Several verification steps follow (depending on how the telephone has been configured by your System Administrator):
1. Obtain network settings (DHCP, SNTP, etc.) 2. Load Configurable Applications and Services. 3. Load main software.
For further instructions on how to use your new SoundPoint® IP 501, please consult the User Guide for the particular software running on the telephone."
I found online User's Manual: http://www.polycom.com/global/documents/support/user/products/voice/soundpoint_ip501_quick_user_guide.pdf
Have you double checked if it is getting an IP address? Chances are it does not have any internet connection that is why it is getting service unavailable.
This is what you can do. Try to get the IP block and then assign one static IP address to the IP phone.

Hello,
Have you double checked if it is getting an IP address? Chances are it does not have any internet connection that is why it is getting service unavailable.
This is what you can do. Try to get the IP block and then assign one static IP address to the IP phone.
And then let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
