We are installing the doorbell and here is how we have it set up: the 18 volts off transformer red wire going to transformer on doorbell, negative wire going to outside button, red wire from button going to front door and there is a resistor on the doorbell button. The issue is that the doorbell is ringing constantly without pushing doorbell button. What are we doing wrong? Also we dont understand the jumpers and what they do or how to set them

Need more info. Doorbells do not need 2 xfrms. The red off 24 volt xfmr foes to door switch and returns on white. If you have 2 door switch one switch to front door label on doorbell and the 2nd goes to back door label. What is the brand and model number/ I'll try and walk you thru it.
