We don't have access to the back of fridge as it is fitted. what happens if we put bleach or milton into the drain-hole?
Putrid smell from fridge area but not from inside of fridge. this co-incides with a yoghurt spill onto the back wall of fridge which dripped down the back overnight and possibly into the drain-hole.

You can pour a 50/50 mix of bleach and water down the drain hole, but I wouldn't stop there. If you take off the front grill of the refrigerator, you will see the condenser coils with a tray under it. This is where things from the drain hole ends up. If you have a small long handled brush you might be able to clean it out.
