We have 2 tv's : "Thompson 50dly644" with rear projection.\r\nThey both have the same problem: there is a dark corner in the left upper side of the screen. Noone can tell us how to fix this. Is there an expert who can? Thank you

There are four tiny mirrors forming a tube (app 50mmx15mm) next to the color wheel, and they are the reason. seen from the front (lamp side), they should be rectangular to each other, but due to heat or any impact they have moved a bit and look more like a diamond.
Remove the light engine (take pix for right wiring afterwards) incl. color wheel, and remove the bracket which holds the mirrors together. The brackets holds them in place, and its quite tricky to get them properly aligned.
(no glue, You'll spoil them-)
But, once done, those triangles are gone.
