We have 3 of these that were installed a year ago. Since then we have had a plumber here to fix a back up problem in my sink. Now it's happening again in my sink & my husband's sink! The plumber wouldn't tell me what was wrong last time! My husband has checked the drains & the traps & they appear to be fine. We can only conclude that there is a problem in the faucets themselves. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thank you!!!
I can't see how the faucets would cause backup. It is more likely that the previous problem has recurred. It could be a blockage further down the pipe than you can see from the bowl or drain underneath. This can happen with all sorts of things like tissues, hair, grease (yuk I won't go on).
About the only thing available to you without some plumbing skills is to get a rubber plunger

fill the drain pipes under the bowls with water, hold down the plug in one bowl, and vigorously plunge/pump on the other outlet.
