We have a 2001 Benz, the battery died one night. We tried to open the trunk but it would not release by way of keyless remote or metal key. Finally got the car up and running now the trunk will not open at all! does anyone know what to do?

Try unhooking the battery for a few minutes to reset computer. Also check your fuses and relays
