On the dryers I have worked on there is a wiring diagram somewhere inside the unit. Check that the heater is not working on timed dry as well as auto dry. That information plus the wiring diagram should point you to the faulty component. Most of mine have been heating elements, once it was the thermostat. You might check your power at the wall plug to make sure you have 240 volts between the hot legs and 120 volts between either hot leg and the neutral leg. Best of Luck

Could be a faulty thermostat/s, or the timer control unit could be faulty.
The power goes to the thermostat/s before going to the heater.
