We have a competence b3101-4 built in electric oven which we bought in 2006. For some time when we open the oven door there is very nasty acrid smoke. We have had the oven professionaly cleaned to resolve this issue but it continues a short period after cleaning. Can you give us any advice? We would thank you for any suggestions?

Really sounds like one of the wires inside the oven box is too close to the heating element or the inside of the oven box, and the wire insulation is burning.
Someone would need to remove the oven box and inspect the inside of the oven.
This may prove very costly.
However, the option might also be a fire.
