We have a lucent 18d multi-line phone that stopped working. There is no dial tone and none of the lights are on. We have tried replacing the phone cord as well but nothing seems to be working. Could this be the phone or is it the actual line?

It could be either one. It would be easier to check the phone by taking another working phone from a different location and trying it. It could of also have been inadvertently plugged into a non-working jack near the jack it was supposed to be plugged into. Hopefully its not the wiring.
