We have a Royal EZVue 6600HD printing calculator. We were using it today and the paper stopped advancing. We took out the roll of tape and reinserted it according to the directions in the booklet. However, it will still not advance. Any helpful suggestions? Thank You, Joan [email protected]
The paper thickness may have something to do with it. Also If there is grit or other debris on the pressure roller, that can hinder the advancement too.
If there is debris (sometime you can not see the residue) remove the current roll, get stout paper towel or rag, and using isopropol alcohol, clean the pressure roller. Allow 5 minutes to completely dry, and try again.
The printer often uses plastic gears to advance the paper. make sure there is nothing keeping this from turning. Also, like old printers, there are settings to allow for perforated tape which disengages the pressure roller. If the batteries are low, this will still be enough to run the software, but not enough to power the motor to advance the paper drive.
