We have a single lever delta shower faucet that we have had several years working on a project, Now we are ready to finish. I do not have the exact model number. We get water out of the line without the cartridge in but when we put the cartridge in even with a new replacement we only get a trickle of water. What are we doing wrong
The cartridge should have pins that create proper alignment with the supply lines. New single handle faucets have limiters that allow you to control the amount of hot water. Check the limiter position. Its also possible that the cartridge is clogged with debris. Modern low flow plumbing appliances reduce flow by reducing the water passages inside the unit. Therefore they are more easily clogged.
