We have a very old Necchi Model BU Mira, that is integrated into a sewing table. It has a knee pressure speed control. There is no power cord, so I'm trying to figure out where to connect one. It appears there are 2 possibilities. One is a power block on the motor mount, but that appears only to make sense if there is a foot pedal speed control (not the knee kick). The other is where 2 blue wires from the transformer (primary?) connect to a terminal block underneath the machine. I looks to me like the knee pedal would short the power if it came from the power connector on the motor mount housing. Is the blue wire pair from the transformer where power should come in? Thanks, Sherrie
The power wire (from the wall) connects to a block just under the motor where the on/off switch is. On my machine there is a brown block with the words Necchi italy on it. I unscrew two screw and there is a track were the power cord lays and leads bite in to the cord as the screws are retightened..... The blue wires from the transformer are on the "sewing machine side" of the transformer and power from the wall should not be attached there.
