We have a Whirlpool side by side ED2GTQXKQ00. The freezer stopped freezing last year and couldn't afford to have it checked out, so we replaced it. Now, we're moving and either will fix it or get rid of it. It's been stored for about a year...we plugged it in and there was a smell. My husband thought he saw a puff of smoke from the bottom in the back for just a second. There's cool air pouring into the freezer, but it's still not freezing, but the fridge part seems to be cool. Any thoughts?
