We have a Whirlpool with the freezer on top. The freezer is around 5 degrees, but the refrig. won't go below 47 even at the coldest setting. We vacuumed all of the vents and tubes in the lower front
The refrig. is about 12 years old.

The fan in the freezer may have stopped working. Or it could be the defrost drain tube is stopped up. Remove the rear plate in the freezer to expose the fan motor. With the rear cover off You can see if the freezer box has frozen over the drain. If so unplug refrigerator use a hair dryer to melt the ice. Keep heating the drain area until water runs down through the drain. Fan motors are available by model number on line or at local appliance stores.
