We have intermittent static on our phones. Phone company has been out twice to check the lines and they say the problem is either in the phone or in the jack. I swappped out phones (new with existing, different extensions) to troubleshoot if the phone was bad. It's not the phones. So who do I call to find out if I have a problem in the line - an electrician or a phone system service company?
