We have the font break problem on the Toshiba B452 machine having 600 dpi. What could be the reason ? What is the best ribbon we can use to print the labels on film base. What are the reasons for font breakage which occurs to the tune of 5%. We want to reduce it to 0.5 to 1%. I shall be thankful if some one mail the solution to [email protected] Thanks Jayaraman
If the film is old, the "ink" dries up and won't stick to the paper, causing the characters to be broken up. Try buying a fresh ribbon and see if the problem goes away.
You say that it works with other labels? Then your problem seems to be related to the particular label stock. Perhaps it's too thick or thin, or there is a coating on it which will not allow your ink to stick.
