We live in the US now and we cannot get our Japan purchased vacuum - Sanyo Marathon Cyclone SC-XW33J to work?
The vacuum is brand new. We have used a Japan power converter with the vacuum and that did not work. please help

Most stepup/stepdown power transformers cannot supply the wattage necessary to power a vacuum cleaner. Unless the converter is the size of a toaster it won't be able to power the sweeper.
