We own a dream maker Spa and have noticed a leak when the pump is running. We've been told by a repairman that the bottom needs to be cut out and the insulation removed in order to find the leak. Does this sound reasonable?

If it is only leaking when the pump is running, the problem is usually the shaft seal on the circulation or jet pump. This should be easy to check.
