My Nas drive too a ****. What is the best way to recover the data? The light stays amber when on. I pulled the drive out of the case and hooked it up to my Vista pc via sata connection. I sees the drive but I can not access the data. It wants to format the drive to NTFS. I know that if I format the drive all data will be lost. Do I have to run Linux to access the data or is there some software out there that will scan it on boot up....I have backed up my data but it is about a month old....any help would be greatly appreciated..
