We've changed the roll on our Ingenico 7810 and it won't now print. The paper comes through, but there is no image on it. The paper is in correctly, i.e. roll feeding from up and underneath towards the front of the machine, but still no printing. How does the printer head on the 7810 work? Could it have come loose or come out entirely?
That is a thermal printer. The print head uses heat to react with the paper to make it turn dark. If the paper is not installed upside down, then the issue is the printer itself and since it does get hot it will burn out. Time for a new one I am afraid.
