What could be wrong with my pt cruiser it want start with the key in the ignition but if I take a screwdriver and jump the starter it will start it did this a few weeks ago and now again could the pcm be bad

I had a nearly identical problem with a cavalier, the starter was bad, even though autozone' s test said it was ok. If you know how to jump the starter, replacing one shouldn't be too hard for you.
