best luck is to tighten in sequence as you would a car rim 12 oclock, 6 oclock, 9 oclock, 3 oclock you know
and for the torque tighten untill gasket starts to squish out a little you do not want to over tighten and squish the gasket to much.
An oil pan gasket has very low pressure so a tight seal is not needed just a good seal is needed. tighten evenly and in sequence stop when gasket squishes alittle and evenly you will see the gasket smash down and squish out go very slow with tightening because the gasket will deform you can always go tighter if needed but you can not losen bolts back up and have a good gasket because of this deformation. to tight will leak more times than not
