What do you think the problem is on my 91laser,ecu or mpi
Starts and dies ,if you hold the points on the mpi down it stays running and if you just start it runs and then dies

run the fault codes as there may be a sensor problem that controls the ECM which works the MPI
Yes the scanner came with the boat and is all set with the info of the engine. Hubby will run some tests this weekend
at this point it is a multi port injector system and that indicates an ECM problem
being in a boat , I would be looking at corrosion in harness connections and wire problems from the salt water and ground points
