WHAT ETHERNET TOPOLOGY IS USED IN SWITCHES
My question is that the switches basically uses bus topology or star topology. If they use bus topology then physically the workstations are connected like a star, then is it the arrangement in side the switch which makes the bus topology.

Switches, hubs or routers typically are used in a star topology connection, so if one device fail everything else is still working. Everithing is managed inside but not like a bus topology system. You may need to use a tree topology in some case, keeping in mind the consequence of a failure.
