Are you making a "fitted sheet"? Divide length of elastic (3-4 inches long) in half; pin halfway point onto sheet's location. Stretch left side to desired extension and pin across width; do same for right extension.
Sew along the edges lengthwise, then across width. If you don't sew both length edges, elastic will BUCKLE and "warp".
