the L is the reach (1/2") and the numbers are the heat range.. On a Champion spark plug the lower the number the COLDER the spark plug.. the higher the number the hotter the spark plug,, If you look at the spark plug hole, you should be able to tell if the length of the threads in the head are about 1/2" deep..I would start with the L6 if you can get it.. if it runs without fouling.. keep running it.. if it fouls..looks black and sooty.. go to the L82.
