What is the peak starting wattage and running wattage of a Samsung SD162Q fridge compressor, I am trying to run it ona 500 watt inverter with a surge peak of 1000 watts ?
You will have to look on the plate for the amps and do the math. My Kenmore nameplate says it pulls 6.1amps. 120x 6.1 = 732watts. There's some power factor stuff involved but even with .7 pf it's still hinky. I figure yours is going to be about the same. So - no, 500watts is too low.

You might need 3 or 4 times the average power consumption of a compressor. A 500W inverter is not anywhere near enough to start a fridge.
