We have a DESA ventless gas fireplace, but we cannot find anywhere on the or within it, model number. The fireplace repair expert came to our home and said there should be a remote to it. We do not have a remote. Howe ver, there is within the compartment, a black little plastic box on the back right, behind other elemnts, that does have 4 aa-Batteries. The flame only burns on high. THe expert that was here, said we need to purchase a remote inorder to lower the flame.
