Thanks Bill. We need to only hang the ceiling fan in the middle. The timber will be fixed on either side to the brick wall with the brackets. The fan weighs only about 7-8 kg. There will be no other load on this timber. So do we really need 100x100 mm hardwood or any smaller size i.e. 50wW x 100H will do the job safely.Thanks Bill.
